Brake shoe roller
The brake shoe roller is a core transmission component in truck drum braking systems. Its working principle is based on the mechanism of replacing sliding friction with rolling friction in mechanical transmission, achieving efficient conversion of braking efficiency through precise geometric design and optimization of force transmission paths.
Working Principle of the Roller:
The rolling of the roller drives the brake shoe to expand outward, pressing the friction lining against the inner surface of the rotating brake drum.
The frictional force between the friction lining and the brake drum generates a braking torque, which is transmitted to the wheel through the wheel hub to decelerate or stop the vehicle.
After releasing the brake pedal, the camshaft returns, and the roller rolls backward along the cam slope under the tension of the brake shoe return spring. The brake shoe resets, and the friction lining separates from the brake drum.
