Truck Brake Shoe Roller
As a core driven component in truck drum braking systems, the brake shoe roller plays a critical role in optimizing braking efficiency. Its typical structure is a hollow cylinder with a high-precision pin or needle bearing at the axis. The outer roller is made of 20Cr material, subjected to deep carburization and quenching-tempering treatment, with a surface hardness, forming a "hard outer layer and tough core" mechanical structure. This enables it to withstand instantaneous shear forces of thousands of Newtons during braking while resisting fatigue fractures from frequent impacts.
When the driver depresses the brake pedal, compressed air pushes the brake adjusting arm to drive the camshaft to rotate. The roller rolls tangentially under the action of the cam's inclined surface, converting rotational motion into the radial expansion force of the brake shoe. Significantly improving the economic efficiency and safety of truck braking systems.
