Precautions before and after brake pad replacement

First of all, check whether the replaced brake pads are pure accessories (that is, supporting products), whether the integrity of the product packaging, the anti-counterfeiting mark and packaging mark are consistent with the logo on the brake pad, and whether the product model is consistent with the content of the certificate. Before lifting the vehicle, the cover containing the brake fluid should be opened and the tire screws should be loosened at the corner.

If a simple jack is used for support, the jack should be supported and the wheels that do not replace the brake pads should be reinforced. Remove the tire, loosen the clamp body fastening screw, and check the screw and pliers sliding guide rod to remove the mud and oil on it, and apply lubricating oil for maintenance. Remove the old brake pads and check the degree of wear of the brake discs and whether they are grooved. Severe wear (unilateral depth 3mm) should be replaced with a new brake disc, the cycle of which is 80,000-120,000 kilometers, otherwise it will accelerate the wear of the newly replaced brake pad, and the direction of braking is jittered, and the braking force is too small.

It is worth noting that the installation of new brake pads should distinguish between the inside and outside, and the friction surface of the brake pads should be towards the brake disc so that the disc fits appropriately. Secure the attachment and fasten the clamp body. Before tightening the clamp body, apply a tool (or special tool) to push the plug on the pliers back into place to facilitate fitting the pliers in place. If you need to replace the brake pads on the drum brakes, it is recommended to go to a professional repair shop to ask a professional to avoid errors.
