The brake return spring acts to quickly restore the two friction plates to their original state without braking. Falling or damaging the brake return spring will cause the vehicle to brake difficultly, and even cause the vehicle to brake failure, and it is necessary to go to the repair shop for installation and replacement to avoid accidents.
The brake return spring can be replaced as follows:
1. Pry off the hub cap and remove the wheel;
2. Through the wheel screw hole, toggle the wedge adjustment block up to relax the brake shoe, or put a punch in the screw hole, push the hand brake lever from both sides, exit the friction plate to remove the brake drum, and then remove the spring, gap automatic adjustment rod, etc.;
3. There shall not be any oil stains on the brake drum and friction plate during installation, and the roller of the clearance automatic adjustment rod shall be screwed to the limit, the right brake adjustment rod shall be the right-hand thread, and the left brake adjustment rod shall be the left-hand thread, which cannot be mistaken;
4. Install the hand brake cable, install the brake shoe and the pull spring below, the gap adjustment rod, the support spring on the shoe and the return spring on the upper part of the foot, and then turn the roller so that the diameter of the shoe is equal to 178mm, then install the brake drum, lock the nut, install the protective plug cover and wheel;
5. Finally start the engine, continuously step and brake about 50 times, and then adjust the handbrake, that is, the maintenance is completed.
